Who I Am? Who Am I? I Am Jophis.

I am Jophis. I have been using computers and messing with their insides since I was eight. About the time I turned 13, we bought access to the internet, needless to say, it revolutionized / destroyed my life, (optimistic / pessimistic). I jumped right into web page design with a piece of junk I placed on Geocities, (my site is not even there any more), I then kept working on websites and started messing around with a new program called Macromedia Flash.

November 1999.... By the time I was 17, I had caught the attention of a local web design guru, Rogue Data Inc. They offered me an internship and I gladly took it. After working there for 3 months, my internship ended and I was offered the webmaster job of Synchroplay.com owned by Alan Rosenbaum. I gladly accepted the offer, and ran Synchroplay.com for about 2 years. I also did many freelance websites also during those 2 years, and started doing video editing too.

August 2000.... In the fall of 2000 I took on the task of editing Duel Of The Fakes: Special Edition, an update of the hilarious second installment of the Star Wars fan film PA Wars. I worked on this for over a year, and finally finished it in December 2001.

June 1, 2001.... I graduated high school from Evangel Family Christian Academy

August 2001.... I started college at the University of Mobile, in Mobile, AL.

January 2003.... After 3 semesters, I decided to take some time off from school. So in January of 2003 I moved back to Montgomery, and started working again at Kmart. Ironically the day after I got hired, they announced the store would be closing in 2 months.
Pretty funny stuff.

March 2003.... I move back down to Mobile, without a car, a room or any food. Just my computer, clothes, and a kind friend who lent me his floor, and his patience. He helped me get a job at the local Best Buy, where I started as a part time computer sales person.

June 2003.... I have made Senior of the Computer Department, and helped push revenue and margin to start us marching towards the top of the company.

Well it is weird how things can change so fast.

December 2003.... Over the New Year's holiday I volunteered at the Big God Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. During the week I struggled with some decisions to be made. When I returned home to Mobile, I decided that God wanted me to move back to Montgomery to begin to help Forrest Ministries with a lot of the ministry projects that they organize.

January 25, 2004.... at 1:30am I left for Montgomery with all of my belongings.

January 27, 2004.... I left with my dad and Dean Forrest for South Carolina to shoot some promotional clips for Big God and to talk to some churches about Across Festivals.

February 2004.... I transferred to the Best Buy in Montgomery and also started my own web design and video editing business which is taking off good. I also am now traveling and helping out with different youth conferences and festivals etc.

July 1, 2004.... I started working at a small country motel, Pine Lake Motel, sort of as a manager in training. It is the best job I have ever had, I have a great boss, it's not stress filled like Best Buy, and they schedule me around the ministry projects that I work with. Could I ask for more? I think not.

That is, until I was let go from this job on September 2, 2004...

September 25 2004.... The first day of the first Across Festival, in Walterboro, SC. The festival turned out great, even with a hurricane blowing through the second day.

November 1, 2004... I started a new job at PC & More, Inc in Montgomery, selling and repairing computers. It has been a great job, and I look forward to staying here a while.

March 2005... I am still at PC & More, Inc. after what you could call a very interesting 4 months. A band called Nonstop Flight asked me to be their band mananger, and I have accepted. I look forward to helping them grow as a band.

May 2005... I left
PC & More, after 7 months. I am now working part-time at Office Depot for a friend of mine, and am starting my own on site computer repair service. I am still managing Nonstop Flight.

July 2005... I have resigned as manager of Nonstop Flight.

August 26-27, 2005... We had another Across Festival, this one in Alexander City, AL. It went well, and of course we had a hurricane threatening yet again. I think it is an Across Festival tradition.

September 2005... I have been promoted to Full-Time at Office Depot. And my computer repair business, The Computer Doctor is starting to take off. I am also assistant JV Boys basketball coach for Evangel Family again this year.

November 2005... I decided to take an offer at a computer store in Prattville, AL as the Store Manager.

May 2006... Due to personal reasons I chose to leave the computer store in Prattville, AL. While on vacation, Office Depot called and asked if I would be interested in working at a new store opening in town.

June 2006... I went in to interview for a Full Time technology sales spot for the new Office Depot opening, and did so well that I walked out as the Product Solutions Manager, over Technology and Furniture.

January 2007... I end my job with Office Depot to go to Chicago with Bonnie Plant Farms as a Route Assistant. But first I am taking a month of vacation.

February 2007... I pretty much travelled this whole month visiting Charleston, SC, New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL.

March 2007... Arrived in Ottawa, IL which is about 60 miles outside of Chicago. It's where the farm is at that I will work from.

July 2007... Got home to Montgomery, AL after 4 months in Chicago. Travelled around a bit.

September 2007... While I was volunteering at an Across Festival in Elizabethton, TN, I had dinner with my friends Dean & Gayna Forrest as well as Ken Freeman and my parents. Through things that only God could set up, I am Ken Freeman's new Road Manager, so I will begin to travel the country driving his merchandise and handling other things for him. I hope to do this for sometime. It is a great opportunity for me to be a part of a ministry as well as travel the country. I am looking forward to see where I go from here.

Keep looking here, and I will keep you, the interested, and non-interested updated.
